Scratch-off - Alcoholic Drink

It's hard not to love the summertime especially when you know how to enjoy it to the fullest. Okay, we have the heat, the sun, the good vibes - what's missing? The drink.

We were asked to design and develop an interactive HTML5 banner as part of an awareness promotional campaign for an alcoholic drink. Since engagement is our favorite word we created a concept to drive user interactions with the banner and portray the product at the same time. On the first slide we have an interactive scratch field with the message "Scratch for Summer". The entire banner side is scratchable, resembling an iced up window and the cursor being a little hand with a window towel.

After wiping away the iced-up side, the second banner side is revealed with a beautiful Greek summer view... alongside the product label and slogan. Alcoholic drinks are a peculiar product to advertise online and since we cannot show the bottle itself - we recreated the authentic Greek ouzo feel inside the banner, mixed with the desire for a cold refreshing drink.
